We're the Wirecutter of credit cards. We believe most people are better served by confidence than options. When you ask a knowledgeable friend which card to get, they don't hand you a spreadsheet — they give you an answer.

Our recommendations consider more than just earning rates. We factor in user experience, app quality, customer service, and the realistic chance you'll actually use the benefits. A card that earns 5% on a category you forget to activate isn't better than one that earns 3% automatically.

Who's Behind This

ShortcutBest is written by Abie, a recovering credit card churner who learned that optimization can go too far. After years of managing 15+ cards and tracking every purchase, I realized the marginal gains weren't worth the mental overhead. Now I help others skip straight to the good part: simple, effective credit card strategies that don't require a spreadsheet.

How We Make Money

We earn commissions when you apply for cards through our links. This is standard in the industry. What's not standard is our commitment to recommending cards we'd actually use ourselves, regardless of commission rates. We've left money on the table recommending lower-commission cards because they were genuinely better.

Our business model only works if you trust us. So we've made the bet that honest recommendations build more long-term value than chasing the highest affiliate payouts.
